Managing a tutoring program.
There's a lot to juggle. Let's keep all the balls moving.
Tutoring is far too important to leave to chance. It deserves a coordinated program—with a dedicated manager moving all students towards academic success.
A fully-managed program should:
create the academic and logistics plans for program implementation.
provide ongoing tutor methodology training.
retain quality tutors through accountability, coaching, competitive pay, benefits, and incentives.
EXPERT TIP: When tutors use the district’s curriculum, outcomes are accelerated. It's already aligned to state standards and learning objectives. Even better—students have a sense of familiarity.
Designing and implementing a high-impact program.
Hiring fully vetted tutors at scale.
Training , coaching, and evaluating tutors.
Scheduling sessions during, before, and after school.
Scaffolding of district-aligned curriculum.
Supporting multilingual students equitably.
Documenting and reporting on student progress.
Communicating program with all stakeholders.
At Kelly Education, we know that no two districts have the exact same tutoring needs—we don’t offer an out-of-the box solution. We're a partner that tailors a program to meet evolving needs.
Our dedicated team provides payroll and human resources administrative support.
Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. The district identifies and recruits their own tutors; we take care of onboarding, payroll, and human resources functions.
Our dedicated team recruits and vets qualified tutors. We provide payroll and human resources support while offering consultative and development support.
Guilford County Schools. The school district initially requested four math tutors in three weeks, but quickly needed more. We delivered ten quality tutors in just two weeks.
Our dedicated team recruits, vets, trains, and manages tutors; we also create the academic and logistics plans and completely oversee all aspects of a partner’s tutoring program.
South Bend Community School Corporation. We provide and manage tutors for ELA in elementary schools and math in middle schools; using a combination of push-in/pull-out delivery models.
Kelly Education partners with Bridgeton Public Schools, a rural district about an hour south of Philadelphia. The district needed intensive math support for their students. It began with an initial program in the first year and then went on to pursue a guided summer math program—doubling down on their tutoring investment in the second year.
Bridgeton Public Schools now has 21 math-minded, professional tutors—found during a time of teacher shortages almost everywhere. Many of these tutors are working five days a week, right alongside teachers, pulling math groups.
