42% of executives we surveyed say that they are failing to unlock the full potential of their workforce, and 46% say that difficulty sourcing talent is leading to missed business opportunities. But what’s the talent perspective?
Only 35% of talent we surveyed say they enjoy the tasks they perform day to day, with workers in the UK, France, and Italy feeling the least enjoyment (28%, 29%, and 29%, respectively).
Leaders who want to build truly resilient workforces must do more to understand worker needs, and they have to act fast. Disengagement levels are already significant – 45% of talent in EMEA (and across our full global survey) told us they are delivering only the bare minimum of what their role contractually requires. That reflects a failure of some organisations to inspire and engage.
